Indian Social Club 
Information
The Karnataka Wing was revived and re-established in the year 2001, as a linguistic wing under the umbrella of Indian Social club, Muscat for the people of Karnataka. The purpose of the Wing is to provide a common platform to express, perform and share the rich culture and traditions of Karnataka.
The name Karnataka Wing was chosen instead of Kannada Wing to bring together and represent all residents of Karnataka, i.e. Kannada, Konkani, Tulu and Coorgi speaking people as well as residents who have opted to reside and be part of Karnataka under one roof.
We are all working here in several career fields in various walks of life and proudly call ourselves Karnataka residents living in this beautiful country. We thank the Indian Social Club which for providing patronage to our Wing and for constantly providing support to showcase the heritage of Karnataka culture.
Despite enjoying comfortable life and employment, we all miss the love and affection of our kith and kin, whom we have left back home. Here in Muscat, your Karnataka Wing of Indian Social club aspires to bring the feeling of a unique oneness, striving to give you all a warmth and confidence of being in “Home away home”.
Activities
Your Sangha has present membership of over 250 and trying to reach out to all Karnataka residents, there by to increasing the membership base. It has been our constant endeavor to give equal opportunity to all our members to exhibit their talent in various fields like music, dance, painting, acting, quizzing and sports.
Since 2005, your Sangha has been conducting Kannada language classes to the members and their children alike. There are dedicated teachers to impart knowledge of Kannada to aspiring students.
The Karnataka wing has been organizing programmes and activities to bring out hidden talents of all members and their families. Please visit our Events page for details.
We intend to felicitate famous personalities from Karnataka in various fields and members / their children, who have excelled in academics, sports, quizzing etc.

Annual membership fees are OMR 20 per family and OMR 15 for singles. For ISC members, annual membership fees are OMR 15 per family and OMR 10 for singles.
